Bitcoin ETF Outflows Slow Down, While Ethereum Attracts $216 Million

Crypto investors showed mixed signals on September 11, with Bitcoin ETFs seeing small outflows while Ethereum ETFs attracted strong inflows. What does this tell us about investor sentiment?

Updated

The cryptocurrency ETF market saw an interesting shift on September 11.

Bitcoin ETFs recorded around $13.3 million in net outflows, while Ethereum ETFs attracted approximately $216 million in fresh money.

At first glance, this may look like investors are losing interest in Bitcoin. But the bigger picture tells a slightly different story.

Bitcoin outflows continue, but the pace has slowed

Bitcoin ETFs had already seen significant withdrawals in the days before September 11.

Over the previous three days, Bitcoin ETFs reportedly lost around $450 million in net flows. So, compared with that number, the $13.3 million outflow on September 11 is relatively small.

Ethereum tells a different story

While Bitcoin ETFs were seeing outflows, Ethereum ETFs attracted approximately $216 million in new money on the same day.

That is a significant difference.

It suggests that at least some investors may not be completely leaving the crypto market. Instead, they could be moving money from Bitcoin to Ethereum.
