Singapore core inflation eases to 2.7 percent as services costs moderate

The MAS core inflation measure fell to 2.7 percent year on year, a third consecutive decline and the lowest reading in over two years. Headline inflation eased to 2.4 percent.
Singapore publishes two measures and the distinction is meaningful. Headline includes accommodation and private transport, both of which are heavily influenced by policy rather than by demand.
